Want to learn more about your post-secondary options? This year's Education Expo will take place on Wednesday Oct 2nd for students in grades 11 and 12 during D block. Any questions, please see Ms Cribb in Guidance.
Cross Country
A reminder to all cross country runners, and anyone still interested in joining. There is an open practice today at 3:00 meeting at the gym.
Football
The football team won their first game of the season by a score of 8-7 over JL Ilsley yesterday. Bryand Sanchez scored the game tying touchdown with less than 5 minutes to go in the game. Jared Whiteway followed that with a long kickoff for a single point to give the Kingfishers the lead. On the defensive side of the ball, Jermar Adams had a strong game and had an interception. Up next is a game against Cole Harbour next Monday at the Mainland Commons. This game will be televised on Eastlink.
Boys’ Basketball
There will be a boys’ varsity basketball meeting on Wednesday October 2nd at 3:30 pm for anyone interested in trying out for the team.
Boys’ Soccer
Boys’ soccer play today at 4:00 pm at Wier Field against JLI. Come out and support your Kingfisher team.
Boys’ Hockey
The boys’ hockey list for 2019-2020 will be posted on the Phys Ed today by noon. Congratulations to all those who tried out.
Girls’ Volleyball
Girls volleyball plays tonight at 7:00 here at Sackville High vs Auburn. Come cheer for your team.
Concert Band and Choir
There will be Concert band on Monday after school. There will be choir on Wednesday and Thursday next week
Girl’s Hockey
Girls hockey will be practicing on the next 2 Mondays ....4 pm at the Sackville arena....Sept 30th and Oct 7....bring $30.00 for the ice times! Contact Mr Morash or Mr Blanchard if you are going to miss a practice!
Student Athlete
ALL student athletes participation on a team must complete their emergency contact/ medical info form online on the athletics website. Please confirm with your coach when completed or see Ms Jeffrey for further info.
