Track and Field
Track and Field participants - if you didn't get an information package from me on Wednesday, then go to room 111 at lunch, or after school today, April 20th. Next track and field practice is Monday after school 3 to 4:30 at the met field.
Girls Softball
There is a girls softball tryout today after school. If interested see Mrs.Coughran.
Rugby
Boys and Girls Rugby play today. Please excuse the boys rugby team at 2:15. All boys rugby team members are asked to see Ms Jeffrey at the start of lunch today.
Field Hockey
Girl's Field Hockey beat Sacred Heart 8-0 on Weds. Goal scorers were Maddi Gass 2, Chole Sinnot 2, Taylor Adams 2, Alison Withrow 1 and Emily Nehiley 1. The team plays Cole Harbour on Monday at 4:00.
Lacrosse
The lacrosse team will play their next game on Monday at 4:00 pm against JLI at the Lebrun Rink.
Kingfisher Cage repeat until April 23
Did you miss the Kingfisher Cage open gym last night? Please sign up for open gym every Tuesday night from 7:00-8:30.
Credit Recovery
Those students that are taking credit recovery are to report to room 227 at lunchtime.
Grad Breakfast
Grad breakfast will be April 25 during 1st period in the morning. There will be lots of information about scholarships, timeline for grad things, Hire a Grad, etc. Make sure you are there.
Green Team Repeat until April 20
On Friday April 20th the green team requests that we reduce our energy consumption as much as possible in honour of Earth Day. We thank you for your cooperation
Grade 11 Social
Grade 11’s turn your permission forms into Mrs. Mullane in room 111 by Wednesday April 18, 3pm.
Prom
Hey Kingfishers, anyone planning on going to prom must pick up a prom contract from the office and pass it in by April 26th at the latest; tickets are being sold for $60 in the lobby at lunch every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday until the 26th. Prom contracts must be in BEFORE you can purchase your ticket so get them in ASAP !:)
PJ Walk
The PJ walk will be taking place on Friday, April 27th which is an event happening at the met field track at 2pm! It is $2 minimum donation which goes towards the Ronald McDonald house and gets you out of class for the duration of last period. Wear your PJ's and come walk around the track with your friends for a great cause!
Student Council Executive Elections
Are you a student interested in taking a leadership role within our school?! If so then this one’s for you! Student Council Executive Elections are right around the corner and we are looking for a new secretary, and two new Co-Presidents to take our spots for the 2018-2019 school year. To apply for an executive role on council you must have experience in a leadership role, be in good academic standings and be a grade 11 going into your senior year! Applications will be available soon and can be picked up from Mrs. Mullane in room 111! We can't wait to see what outstanding leaders will be taking our spots. Good Luck!
