Academic Awards
Students who were not present for last week's Academic Awards or whose certificate weren't ready during the ceremony are asked to pick up their certificates from the Main Office this week.
Girls Hockey
Attention hockey fans....your Sackville High girls hockey team will open their season today against The Prince Andrew Panthers! The game is at 4:00 at the Sackville arena. ....come out and see your favorite players....see our new Kingfishers in action!!!! The first 200 fans get in free!!! Come out and cheer us on!!!! GOOOOOO Kingfishers!
Yearbook
The first Yearbook 2019 meeting will be held this week on Wednesday at lunch. Come to room 322, photographers and much more are needed.
Girls Volleyball
The lady Kingfishers volleyball team was on PEI competing in a tournament on the weekend - player of the game was awarded to Bella Motz, Brooke Evans, Morgan Hobin, and Georgina Picco for the four matches played. Come out and support the team tonight at 7:00 pm when Sommet is back on the Kingfisher court!
Football
The football team won their fourth game of the season last night over Park View by a score of 22-9. Cullen O'Leary had one touchdown while Bryand Sanchez rushed for two scores. Jared Whiteway converted all three touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Tyler Carr had a pick while Spencer Holman chipped in with 4 sacks. Also getting in on the defensive action was Tobias Schmidt who helped close the game down in the final minutes on defence. The Kingfishers' next game is this Sunday in the valley against West Kings.
Girls Soccer
All Girls Soccer players are to meet in room 104 at lunch.
Boys Basketball
Boys Basketball- A list has been put up on PE wall for those players who will move to JV TRYOUTS on Tuesday at 3:30-5:00. If you do not see your name please attend today at 3:30 for Varsity Tryouts. If you missed Friday please attend today if you want to try out for Varsity.
Boys Volleyball
There is no boy’s volleyball practice today. All team members’ area asked to see Ms Jeffrey for permission form for Horton on Thursday. Also Keigan MacNeil SEE MS JEFFREY TODAY PLEASE.
Remembrance Day Ceremony
Any cadets wishing to participate in the Remembrance Day Ceremony there will be a lunchtime meeting in room 107 on Tuesday, Oct 23.
Crystal Growing Competition
Those students who were interested in participating in the Crystal Growing Competition are asked to meet Mrs. Doyle at lunch on Monday in Room 303.  Feel free to bring your lunch with you
Friend Zone
Friend Zone is a Youth Drop in Group held at the Sackville Library every 2nd Monday. Come and meet friends between the ages 15-19 in a safe space. Join us Monday night...Oct 22nd at 6-8pm for Pumpkin Carving. Free food and Good Times Provided. No registration....Just show up. For more info, see Lynda in the YHC.

NSSSA
Blossom 2018 is this year’s NSSSA metro regional conference. It will be a weekend full of cheers, leadership skill building activities, and new friends. This conference will be held from November 10-11 at Mount Saint Vincent University. This is open to any and all students. You can pick up a form in the main office. The cost to attend is 75$. Bring your form and money in to Mrs Mullane in room 111 by Monday October 22. You won’t want to miss this amazing conference.
Aboriginal Smudging
Attention All SHS Students & Staff - An Aboriginal Smudging Ceremony will take place October 24 starting at 8:30 out in the back field of the school. Everyone is welcome to attend. Students must have parent consent before attending. Forms can be picked up from the door of Room #229 - across from the library.
Parking passes
A reminder to all students; you must have a SHS parking pass to park on school grounds. The application form is on the web site. Please print and complete and submit to the main office for approval and to receive your parking sticker.
