Picking the right university can be stressful, but getting all the right information makes the process much easier. This Wednesday, November 14th, come to the main lobby at lunch, to learn more about Mount Allison University from your former co-prez, Julia Bedell! Here you can learn more about campus life, residence life, and the transition from high school to university. See you there :)
Football
The football team won their playoff game on Friday evening over Cole Harbour by a score of 19 - 0. The defence pitched a shutout and were led by Rene Zeevat, Vincent Takamaa and Davontay Conrad-Deleon. Josh Miller had two interceptions. Cullen O'Leary scored on a 7 yard rush for a touchdown while Garret Malloy returned a punt for 55 yards for another touchdown. Jared Whiteway kicked two field goals to round out the scoring. The win puts Sackville High into the championship game this Saturday against undefeated Northeast Kings. The game with will be played at Acadia with kickoff scheduled for 1 pm. Come out and support your Kingfishers!
Boy’s & Girl’s Basketball
Its Game Day!! Boys and Girls basketball take to the court tonight for their first home game. The girls play at 6:00 vs Prince Andrew, and the boys 8:00 pm vs Lockview. Get your orange on and support your teams!
Boys Volleyball
Boys volleyball takes on Dartmouth High Wednesday at 6:00 pm. Go on out to Dartmouth and cheer your team!
Prom
Our second prom committee meeting will be held November 13th at 1130 in room 104. come with an idea for the theme!
YHC
On Tuesday, Nov 13, Phoenix Youth Outreach is having a drop in at the Youth Health Centre from 10-12.They are here to support you with your immediate needs and concerns in a safe and respectful way. Their services are free, confidential and judgement free. Any student 16 years and older is welcome to come to Room 325 & check out this service....you will be excused from class. Teachers and support staff can help by encouraging youth to come who are having a tough time and need a helping hand. See Lynda in the YHC if you have any questions about this service.
Movember
It is Movember! We are raising awareness for prostate cancer. Help our school reach our goal by donating spare change in your classroom. If we raise $800 Mr. Parker will shave his head and if we raise $1200 he will wax his leg. Let’s start donating Kingfishers!
Green Team
Hey, do you want to help adopt some cute animals? Green team will be out in the main lobby from the 13th to the 16th to collect donations for three endangered animals. You can choose to save a sea turtle, a river otter, a blue shark or all three! Come on out to learn more about these animals and vote for your favorite.
