The Grad Photo’s are taking place in room 112. Please be on time for your photos and do not linger around after you are done. That room is busy without extra bodies in there.
Wrestling
This past weekend your SHS wrestling team competed at the Hants East wrestling meet. All 6 wrestlers won medals with 5 winning gold and 1 winning silver. Colin Briand, Evan Overbaugh and Ethan Mulholland picked up a couple of easy wins, and gold medals. Jessica Roach battled the defending provincial champ and a teammate to add some gold to her collection. Akwaima Akpan had an exciting last match coming up from being behind 8 points to pinning her opponent in the last 9 seconds winning 14-8. And a big congratulations to Shayna Halliday for competing in her first wrestling tournament and picking up a big win against the defending provincial champ and winning silver!

All students interested to sign Christmas cards for senior citizens in nursing homes please check in with Lynda today in Room 325. I just want an idea about numbers of students interested. We will be doing the cards tomorrow (Tuesday) at lunch. Everyone welcome.

All Students and Staff are invited to an Aboriginal smudging ceremony Friday, Jan 4, starting at 11:00am in the field out back. Students who do not have a smudging consent form signed can pick one up in the Aboriginal Room 229A, Guidance Office or ask your Teacher. Rain date will be the following Monday, same time and place. What a great way to start the New Year!

Me to We has a super exciting holiday bake sale Tuesday. Wednesday! Come out and buy some treats for $1 only!
Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team traveled to Saint John this past weekend and played in the Delta Classic. They had tough losses to Simmonds and Rothesay but beat Saint John High in their final game. Players of the games were Garrett Malloy, Abe ElJakl, and Mark Mombourquette.
Boys Volleyball
BOYS VOLLEYBALL must turn their uniforms in by Thursday. Please return to Ms. Jeffrey- Owen, Austin, Brandon, Tyler, Matt B, Matt Barry.
Yearbook
There will be a quick yearbook meeting Wednesday December 19th at lunch in Mr. Blades classroom.
Green Team
Green team presents the 12 days of Green-mas, You can see all 12 days upstairs by room 311. The sustainable holiday tips for the day are to, 1) During Christmas dinner, only serve what you will eat to help with food waste 2) Buy local foods and local trees to help your community.
NSSSA
Candy Cane Grams will be sold in the main lobby today until Thursday in the main lobby. They will cost 25 cents each and the proceeds will go to an NSSSA scholarship!
Spirit Week
Listen up Kingfishers! Are you in the holiday spirit yet? Well get ready because next week is our holiday spirit week! Today is flannel day to start us off, Tuesday is our International day where we will be celebrating the German holiday St Nicholas, wear your best boots and join the fun! Next up is Wonderful Wednesday so dress to impress on this formal day. Thursday is ugly sweater day and we are wrapping up the week with Festive Friday! Come down to the lobby every day at lunch to join in the festivities!

Attention, Attention!!! Anyone who loves spirit wear and loves a great deal should stop by the Kingfisher Corner Store before December 21st for a smokin’ deal on our new crew neck sweatshirts. Regularly priced at $25, they are now on sale for $20 until Christmas break. Let your parents know that spirit wear will also be on sale on the evening of parent/teacher interviews, Dec.17 from 6-8pm.
Health & Human Services
HHS 12 is holding a pancake breakfast on Tuesday, Dec 18, from 8:30-9:15. All you have to do is bring $2 or 2 cans of food to attend. All donations will go to support Feed Nova Scotia.
