Boys Volleyball
Congratulations to the boy’s volleyball team for finishing 4-1 this weekend at the Sir John A’s kickoff tournament. A special congrats to Cameron Locke, Blake McEwen-Adams and Liam Graves for being awarded player of the game. Keep up the great work Kingfishers!!!
Football
The football team lost their second game of the season on Saturday in the Community Bowl against Lockview. Despite that, Colby Grant was able to find some room to run the ball while contributing on defence as well. The team returns to action this Thursday with a game against Halifax West.
ASSW
Students and staff interested in writing are welcomed to attend a meeting today in Room #230 at lunch time. Bring a friend.
Boy’s Soccer

Boy’s Hockey
BOYS HOCKEY TRYOUTS! Tryouts will continue on Tues at 5:00 pm and Weds at 6:00 pm this week. Grade 9's welcome and all players are encouraged to come and tryout. Please see Ms Jeffrey if you have any questions on Budget or a spot on the team.
Concert Band
There will be Concert band After School on Monday.
Girl’s Hockey
Girls hockey will be practicing on the next 3 Mondays ....4 pm at the Sackville arena....Sept 23rd, 30th and Oct 7....bring $30.00 for the 3 ice times! Contact Mr Morash or Mr Blanchard if you are going to miss a practice!
Student Athlete
ALL student athletes participation on a team must complete their emergency contact/ medical info form online on the athletics website. Please confirm with your coach when completed or see Ms Jeffrey for further info.

September 30th is Orange T-Shirt Day for honoring the Aboriginal students who attended the Indian Residential Schools throughout Canada. Students can purchase a T-shirt for $10.00 from Ms. Meuse, the Mi'kmaq Indigenous Student Support Worker - Room 229A, across from the library. Proceeds to go to the SHS Indigenous Program. To All Aboriginal Students: If you know you have Aboriginal ancestry in your family line, please stop by to see Ms. Meuse anytime. There are no obligations other than to meet and greet. Ms. Meuse is in Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
