Writing Workshop
Interested in a free writing and publishing workshop? Mount Saint Vincent University is offering a workshop for youth ages 14-19 on the Climate Crisis, taking place on October 26 & 27th from 10 am-4pm. See Guidance for more info on how to register!
GSA
The GSA will meet in the Youth Health Centre at lunch on Thursday. All students and staff are welcome!
Concert Band and Choir
There will be no Concert band after school this week. Choir will be on Wednesday and Thursday at Lunch this week.
Green Team
The Green Team is hosting a Trash Scavenger Hunt on Friday! Come clean up our school and win some awesome prizes!
Girls’ Hockey
The girls hockey team will meet in room 206 Wednesday at the start of lunch...this is a very important meeting!
Football
The football team won their third straight game on Sunday over Park View by a score of 13-0. Aidan Ring scored a touchdown while Jared Whiteway kicked two field goals. Mark Mombourquette and Logan MacIntyre led the charge on defence helping the team pitch a shutout. The Kingfishers are off this weekend but return to action next Thursday in a rematch against JL Ilsley in Burnside.
International Student
There will be a meeting for all international student ambassadors in room 127.
WE Day
All students attending We Day must come to room 103 at lunch to discuss transportation. Bring your lunch.
Boys Soccer
Boys soccer had a big win yesterday over Cole Harbour 5-2. The team starts playoff tonight at 6:00pm at Harbour East against Lockview. Good Luck Kingfishers!
Open Gym
OPEN GYM today Tuesday after school from 3:00-4:30pm
Boys’ Volleyball
Boys volleyball plays home tonight at 6:00 pm vs Auburn. Come out and support your team.
SMU
Grade 12's! Are you planning on attending Saint Mary's University next year and have an interest in taking on a leadership role? SMU is looking for two students for the Student Leadership Conference being held at SMU on Saturday, November 2nd. See Guidance for details.
Student Vote
Hello Sackville High. As you know, the federal election is coming up and our school is participating in the National Student Vote Week next week. Each of you has the responsibility to vote here at Sackville High on Friday, October 18. So pay attention to the daily Political Speeches during announcements, read the signs going up around the school, or talk to your parents and teachers to get educated about what political party to vote for next Friday in the second lobby.

Come check out what provincials are all about and grab a form from Ms. Mullane in room 111, but don’t wait! There’s only a limited number of forms and the due date is October 21st!
Escape Room
The Escape Rooms are back! Gather your friends, come for the storyline, come for the puzzles, or just come to have creepy Hallowe'en fun! This year's themes are: Dr. Death, Cole's Basement, Carnival Chaos, and Scobby Doo's Haunted Mansion. Tickets are $5.00 and are being sold every day at lunch in the main lobby. You only have 30 minutes...will YOU make it out alive?
