Green Team
The Green Team still has a few spots left for the T-Shirt Bag Making Workshop TODAY With Halifax Solid Waste. Come to room 313 at lunch to participate. Please note limited space is available and unregistered spots will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.
Girls Hockey
The girls hockey team played their first game last night....the outcome wasn't the best ....however the girls played hard until the final bell. Scoring the teams first goal of the year #14 Brennah Hemmelman and scoring the teams second goal of the year Mikenna Rennard!!! The girls hit the ice again next Monday at the arena!!
Boys Hockey
Boys hockey plays their home opener tomorrow night Wednesday at 6:00 pm against Dartmouth High. Come support the team!
Prom

The song played will be played every day during morning announcements and in between afternoon blocks until they reach their goal. Get your change ready kingfishers, and donate it to the jar in your classroom to help us STOP THE BOP!
Academic Recognition
The list of recipients for this year's Academic Awards ceremony is posted outside the Main Office. Please check the list very carefully and see Mrs. Doyle (Room 303) regarding any errors or omissions.  The ceremony recognizes those students who achieved an overall average of 80% or higher in last year's classes. It is on Tuesday, Oct 29th during the last period of the day (you will be called down).
Europe 2021
There will be a short meeting at today lunch (11:30) on Tuesday October 22, in room 324(Yoga Room) for all Europe 2021 students currently enrolled on the trip to Greece!
MSVU
Mount Saint Vincent University will be visiting us today, Tuesday Oct 22nd during lunch time. Be sure to stop by to ask questions, book a campus tour or ask about student life. They will be offering free on the spot admission!
GSA
The First Meeting of the GSA will be Thursday October 24th in the Youth Health Center during Lunch, all are welcome! (Start Announcement Friday Oct 18)


Mascot showdown
Mascot Showdown tickets are now available for $10 from Mrs Mullane in room 111. The event will take place on November 21st at Auburn Drive Highschool. If you love cheering, screaming, and orange spirit wear, this is the event for you! All proceeds go to Phoenix House.
SHS Game Room
On your free or at lunch the SHS Game Room is open in the cafeteria. There is Table Tennis, Air Hockey and Checkers. Sign out/Sign In equipment from the library to use the games.
Youth Health Action Team
The first meeting of the Youth Health Action Team will be held on Tuesday October 22nd at Lunch in the Youth Health Center room 325 - all are welcome.
NSSSA

Come check out what provincials are all about and grab a form from Ms. Mullane in room 111, but don’t wait! There’s only a limited number of forms and the due date is October 21st!
Escape Room
The Escape Rooms are back! Gather your friends, come for the storyline, come for the puzzles, or just come to have creepy Hallowe'en fun! This year's themes are: Dr. Death, Cole's Basement, Carnival Chaos, and Scobby Doo's Haunted Mansion. Tickets are $5.00 and are being sold every day at lunch in the main lobby. You only have 30 minutes...will YOU make it out alive?
