This Thursday Saint Mary's University will be visiting in the lobby during lunch and they are offering free on the spot admission! If you're interested in attending SMU in the fall and are looking to apply, make sure you get a copy of your transcript in Student Services and SMU will waive the fee!

GSA
The GSA will meet at lunch on Thursday in the Youth Health Centre.
Girls Hockey
The girls hockey team lost to Dartmouth High yesterday by a score of 8-4 ....the score however does not reflect the way the girls played. We skated hard from the drop of the puck to the final buzzer. Scoring for your kingfishers were.... number 19 Maddie Hamilton with 2 goals ....number 16 and our fearless captain Amy Hicks with a goal and an assist....and rounding off the scoring with a birthday goal.....Amelia Fifield!!! The girls are back in Dartmouth tomorrow to play PA!!

Attention Writer's. The SHS Writer's Club will be hosting a special meeting Wednesday, Nov 13 from 3 - 4 pm in room #230. Special guest Angela Momberguette, Editor for Nimbus Publishing, will be there to answer questions and discuss how to become a published author.
Movember
November marks the annual fundraising event of ‘Movember’ . This campaign was created in hopes of raising awareness and donations toward the end of Prostate Cancer. This is a worldwide event, which always hits home to some. Today’s Movember Monday fact is: Movember fundraisers have raised over 72 million dollars towards cancer research. Will you help this number grow?

Hey, hey, hey Kingfishers. Come to the Kornerstore and check out the Kingfisher socks we now have for sail. They come in white with orange and black design, or black with orange and white design. The cost is $15 a pair or 2 for $25.
Dalhousie
The students who are attending Dalhousie Discovery Day must give their permission form to Mrs. Doyle before today, Tuesday, Nov 5th!
Wrestling
Sackville High wrestling will start on Thursday, November 7th from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. Wrestling develops your character, raises your confidence and self-esteem, and is scientifically proven to help cope with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. New members welcome, no experience necessary.
