Hey Kingfishers!
The Health and Human Services 12 class is excited to share with you all “The 101 Care Kit Express”, a fundraising project organized in effort to support the homeless population of our community. Our goal is to collect essential items, and use them in assembling 101 care kits. These kits are to be distributed to shelters throughout HRM. We will be holding a bake sale today and tomorrow in which proceeds will go towards purchasing items for the kits, as well as an item drive that will be now until January 15th. Each grade level is assigned a certain item to bring for the drive so listen up closely for your grade! 9s bring toothbrushes, 10s toothpaste, 11s gloves or hats, 12s deodorant, and staff socks! Each student's name from the winning grade level who brought in an item will be put into a draw for a 50$ gift card of their choice! Bring all items to the lobby during lunch on collection days. Bring your toonie to the girls basketball game today at 2pm against West Bedford. Classes will be called by floors starting at 1:30pm with the 1st floor. Please stay in your 3rd period class until your floor is called. There are 2 entrances the main doors and down the hall on the 2nd floor. Attendance will be taken at the door if your name is not highlighted you will be marked absent.
