Prom will be held on Saturday, June 7th, and we are looking forward to a wonderful celebration with our graduating students. This week, school administration will be visiting Grade 12 classrooms to review important prom expectations and guidelines.
Please remember that Prom is a school event, and the Regional School Code of Conduct applies. We want all students to enjoy a fun, safe, and respectful evening.
A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Doherty and Ms. Williams for the many hours theyโve dedicated to organizing this special event, and to all the staff who have volunteered their time to chaperone Saturday evening. Your support is greatly appreciated!

During the rehearsal:
- Important ceremony details will be reviewed
- Students will practice the graduation line-up
- Students will collect their Caps, Gowns, Sashes, and 4 graduation tickets
If additional tickets are needed, we encourage students to speak with peers who may not use all four. The school does not have extra tickets due to fire regulations.
IMPORTANT:
Before the rehearsal, students must return all textbooks, uniforms, and Chromebooks (including chargers).
Outstanding item costs are:
- Textbooks: $55
- Chromebooks: $450
- Chargers: $80
To check for outstanding items, students may speak with Ms. Costard in the main office. Please do not wait until the last minute to resolve any outstanding obligations. In order for students to receive their cap, gowns and sashes at rehearsal they must return their items.
๐ Graduation Day โ Friday, June 27 at 8:45 a.m.
Graduates must arrive at school by 8:15 a.m. for lineup.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. and will last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
A professional photographer will capture each student receiving their diploma. A link to the photos will be shared via School Messenger and the SHS website on the last day of school.
Following the ceremony:
- Families may take additional photos in the lobby or outside
- Graduation folders handed out on stage are empty โ this is normal
- Students must return their sashes to Room 227/228 in exchange for:
- Their graduation folders (includes diploma, transcript, award letters, etc.)
Students may keep their graduation caps, gowns, and SHS diploma folder. Note: students will not receive their graduation folder items if they have outstanding items that have not been returned to Sackville High (textbooks, Chromebook, Chromebook chargers, uniforms)
Please contact the main office if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to celebrating these milestones together.
Warm regards,
The Staff and Administration of Sackville High School
