Good Evening Kingfisher Students and Families,
As we close out first semester, we want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone for your patience, flexibility, and understanding through the many weather related delays and schedule changes. It has certainly been a challenging few weeks, and we truly appreciate the support and partnership of our students, families and school community.
As we begin second semester, here are a few important dates and reminders to support a smooth transition:
Important Dates
- Wednesday, February 4th – Assessment and Evaluation Day
➤ No classes for students - Thursday, February 5th – First Day of Second Semester
➤ Students can review their second semester schedules in PowerSchool
➤ This will run as a Thursday, Day D schedule - Friday, February 6th –
➤ This will follow a Monday, Day A schedule
As we start second semester, staff will be reviewing school-wide expectations with students, including the Provincial Code of Conduct and the cell phone policy. Teachers will also be establishing classroom norms and routines, and continuing to build strong, positive relationships with students to ensure a successful and supportive start to the semester. Our shared focus is on creating safe, respectful, and engaging learning environments where all students can thrive.
Now that we have reached the midpoint of the school year, we are also encouraging students, parents, and guardians to take some time to review the following important documents:
- Regional Code of Conduct

- Cell Phone Directive Cell Phone Directive 2025-2026.docx
- Assessment and Evaluation Policy studentassessmentpolicyen (7).pdf
- Classroom Assessment Due Date and Extension Procedures studentassessmentpolicyclassroomassessmentduedateextensionproceduresen (2).pdf
These documents help ensure consistency, clarity, and shared understanding between home and school, and support student success, wellbeing, and accountability.
