Issues
Thank you to the administration for replacing the microwave in the cafeteria that was needed due to the timer being set for too long and breaking the old one. We have another challenge though. Toilet paper rolls are being removed in the bathroom and used to plug the toilets. We are asking everyone to please be more responsible in keeping our school running and clean.
Green Team
Calling all Kingfishers! Your green team is going plogging on October 18th (weather permitting). What’s plogging?? Plogging is a mix of jogging, but we will be walking, and picking up litter! Please meet us in the lobby at lunch on October 18th if you want to join us!
Community Partners
HRM and a variety of community partners (Laing House, Nova Scotia Works, IWK, NSHA, YMCA, Boys and Girls Club etc) are coming together to open a new space in Sackville.  It will be located in the basement of the library in HRM Recreation space.  This space will be for youth age 13-24. All youth are invited to attend a “Design” meeting on October 11th, 2018 at 6pm in the Sackville Recreation space on Sackville Drive below the Sackville Library.  Pizza will be provided. They are trying to get youth from the community together to help inform them on what will go in this space and what the space should look like. If you would like to attend and have a voice in the design and purpose of this space, sign on the sheet on the counter in the main office .
