Concert Band
There is concert Band on Friday after school until 3:55. There will also be concert band on Tuesday from 2:55 until 4:00pm
Black History
Today’s black history month fact is about Rose Fortune, who was born into slavery, but later relocated to Nova Scotia, where she became known as the first black female police officer in Canada. She was known for tirelessly maintaining order at the Annapolis Royal Wharves.
Student Council
Students who turned in their danceathon sheets with their $20 - please see Mrs. Mullane in room 111 - ASAP.
Boys Hockey
Congrats to the boys hockey team for their big 3-0 win Tuesday night over Millwood. Jeff Comeau had the shut out stopping 46 shots. Connor Wolfe had 2 goals and Dorian Brooks had 1. Come out and support the Kingfishers tonight as they take on Halifax West at 8:15 at the BMO center. Saturday night the Kingfishers play Lockview at 8:00 at the Civic.
Prom 2019
We are looking for ALL grade 12 parents to step up and make a donation to help fill "theme baskets" for an online auction we are hoping to get up and running in the next week or so. We have not even had half of the families of grade 12 students come forward to help with a donation. The prom is a big deal to our kids, as it should be. I am not asking for a lot - if each family donated a $5.00 item to be put in a basket, we would be able to raise enough money to pay for the decorations for PROM and GRAND MARCH.
