Basketball
Basketball Sign up sheets are up on the bulletin board. All grades are welcome to tryout.
ANS
On Monday October 3rd we will be having an ANS tutoring meeting at 11:45 for any students who are interested in helping tutor other ANS students. The meeting will take place in room 229B, (Mr. Tasco's room) Hope to see you there.
Boys  Hockey
Thanks to all the Hockey boys who showed up for tryouts The team list is on the board outside the gym. This years Captain is Adam Mailette with the assistant captains being Jayden Thibodeau, Lucas Thornhill and Carter Blanchard. Our Home games will be Wednesday nights at the arena. Go Kingfishers.
Indigenous SSW
Any Indigenous students who were invited to the Dalhousie Field trip this Wednesday must have their forms back in Matt's office by the end of day today. This is the FINAL call for field trip permission forms.
Green Team
Are you interested in protecting the environment? Looking for an extra-curricular that looks good on a resumé? The green team will be having its first meeting on Tuesday, October 4th at lunch in Ms. Trenholm's room (room 311). All are welcome!
Girls Volleyball
Attention all kingfishers! the girls volleyball team takes on CPA tonight @6pm, at CPA. Make sure to give them a big good luck and go cheer the ladies on!
GSA
The GSA is holding a clothing swap up in the youth health center at lunch all week for students in need of gender affirming clothing. Come check it out!
Golf Team
Can the golf team please meet in the gymnasium for the beginning of lunch - Our tournament has been moved to Sherwood Golf and Country Club this Thursday Oct 6.

Grads
StFX University is waiving the application fee for the month of October. This is a great opportunity for your students to save some money and receive an admissions decision in the early fall. For students to take advantage of this, they must input the promo code into the application where it asks for it on the pay-screen. The promo code is “APPOCT2022”
Classroom Codes
Every student should be a part of a graduating classroom. The codes for the classroom are posted in the main lobby by the bird feeder. Important announcements to the class will be posted there - make sure you join.
Post Secondary
On Weds, October 5th, there will be representatives from 42 post secondary schools vising SHS during first class. Grade 11 and 12 students will be called to the cafeteria during your allotted time that morning to speak to recruiters.
Boys Baseball

Open Gym
There will be an open gym after school today for basketball. Anyone is welcome to come play from 3:05-4:15.
NSSSA
NSSSA is holding a grade 9 event on October 22. Registration opens today and closes on October 14. There will be forms in the main office or sign up through Metro NSSSA Instagram. The cost is $25.
